Position Overview

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, well-equipped facility with a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on resident-centered care.

Speech-Language Pathologist Job Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Active New York State Speech-Language Pathology license

• CCC-SLP preferred

• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred

• FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) experience a plus, not required

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Provide therapy services for residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing impairments

• Accurately document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries

• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and medical staff to ensure coordinated care

• Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques and swallowing safety

• Maintain compliance with facility policies and all regulatory standards

Compensation

• $95,000 per year (based on experience)

• $90,000 per year (new graduates welcome)

• $2,000 Sign-On Bonus
